The 350-meter-tall lotus tower is the tallest tower in South Asia and the 18th tallest tower in the world.

Civil & Structural Engineering Consultants (Pvt) Ltd., in collaboration with the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Moratuwa, served as the structural engineering consultant for the Lotus Tower.

Colombo DR Built on a 30,600 square meter site near Beira Lake on Wijewardene Mawatha, the Lotus Tower is a revolving restaurant with seating capacity for 600 people, a reception lounge with a thousand floors, a two storey hotel with hotel facilities, a telecommunication museum and an office complex. .

A large water park is to be built in the surrounding area, with a parking area of ​​200 vehicles. The mast tree section of the tower is 86.9 meters. This section is equipped with television, radio and other telecommunications antennas. Tourism is the main source of revenue of the Nelum Tower and antenna leasing is expected to generate revenue.

The Nelum Tower is expected to facilitate 50 broadcasting services, 50 television services and 20 telecommunication service providers.

Today's (16.09.2019) lotus tower is 26 meters taller than the famous Eiffel Tower in France.
